EVAN VARGAS

U12 BOYS 

Evan Vargas was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, and is 22 years old. He began coaching while actively pursuing a professional playing career, driven by a passion to share his knowledge and inspire the next generation of players. Evan is deeply committed to helping young athletes reach their goals, bringing both enthusiasm and a strong competitive background to his coaching.


Coaching History

Evan began his coaching journey with the Future Stars Program at Plantation FC during the 2024 Spring season. He currently coaches at Fort Lauderdale Rush AS the Head Coach of the 2014 Blue Boys, where he has been on staff since Fall 2024. Through these roles, Evan has worked with young players, focusing on technical development, game understanding, and instilling a love for the sport.


Playing History

Evan’s playing career reflects both talent and ambition. In 2023, he was selected as one of only four U23 players out of 70 during Soccer Shop Window's Florida Pro Week by European scouts to play in the UK. While in London on professional trials with agency SoccerShopWindow, he competed against AFC Wimbledon, where he recorded a goal and an assist. In 2024, Evan played a pivotal role in winning the UPSL Fall Season with Solaiya FC, earning Man of the Match honors in the league final after scoring two goals and providing one assist. He also previously played for Alexandria Reds Pro (First Team) in the APL in 2022. Collegiately, Evan competed at Marymount University (NCAA) in 2021, continuing to develop his game at a high level.


Youth Career

Evan grew up playing for Miramar United Elite F.C. at the ECNL youth level. With Miramar, he became a Miramar Soccer Cup & Showcase Champion and a Presidents Cup State Champion. He was also a standout at the high school level, playing varsity all four years, serving as captain, and leading his team to a state final.
